There is a Trump tweet for everything except today. Today there are 2.

He also ready said on tweets in 2012 if the Republicans don't replace Obamacare they're responsible. Now he sees that differently

It's all the nasty dem obstructionists fault. Trump says he is certainly not going to own it, and the republicans aren't going to own it either.

And he wants a 50 vote majority in the congress instead of 60.

RE: The health care plan
It's dead. Well, dead again. Our brilliant WH leadership telephoned Murkowski to threaten the State of Alaska generally if she didn't give the GOP bill a thumbs up. Fortunately she doesn't need GOP support to hold her seat so could vote her conscience. And McCain voted his conscience, a conscience no doubt significantly transformed by his having to face not just his mortality but the loss of his very being to the personality disrupting ravages of brain cancer.

It died by a single vote; 3 nays from Murkowski, McCain and Collins.

Who know, the GOP believes in the resurrection, so they may keep resurrecting this grotesque monstrosity that grows ever more monstrous with each reincarnation, but each defeat only intensifies the embarrassment of failure, so they may finally stop trying to ram a GOP turd down the American throat and do what should have been going on all along - remove the party fences in the houses and work across the aisles to revise Obamacare, or come up with something new - as unified legislative houses instead of divided ones. A commenter on Fivethirtyeight said surprising as this outcome is, what's most surprising is the road that got us here. That statement makes all other commentary superfluous.

Literally never going to happen. The Republican bill was a tax reform bill, not a healthcare reform bill. Permanent tax cuts for the elite, at the cost of everyone else's healthcare benefits. It would be like calling Trump's wall along the Mexican border a infrastructure bill, as opposed to the blatantly obvious race baiting that it is. They don't want to improve Obamacare, because actually improving it in such a way as to help their base would negatively affect the bottom line of their donors, and that's a big No-No.

Improving Obamacare would be adopting a single payer, universal system like the rest of the modern civilized world. 'Medicaid for all' is such a stupidly simple concept that even the Republican base is starting to understand it, and stop fearing the boogeyman of 'socialism' that the Republicans have been trotting out for literally decades to deny their own constituents a better standard of living.

RE: The US health care plan
If you believe this or Obama care was ever about anyone's healthcare, I'd have to guess you still believe in Santa Claus.

It's corporate welfare for insurance companies.

When you get rid of the profit motive, it'll be about healthcare.

McCain kept his word - he said he wasn't going to vote for that bill.
