Of course, anyone who has seen the movie knows what happened to English Bob.

And tell me a tiny part of you didn't cheer a bit when Little Bill kicked his ass.
Great movie.
Complex morality.
Later it took the complex evil of William Munny to announce to Little Bill that "deserving has nothing to do with it" when he killed Little Bill in revenge for the death of his friend Ned.
Brilliant!
This is why Westerns are so great.
Look at me.
I'm rambling.

Quote:Some years later, Mrs. Ansonia Feathers made the arduous journey to Hodgeman County to visit the last resting place of her only daughter.

William Munny had long since disappeared with the children...some said to San Francisco where it was rumored he prospered in dry goods.

And there was nothing on the marker to explain to Mrs. Feathers why her only daughter had married a known thief and murderer, a man of notoriously vicious and intemperate disposition.

Will gladly take the mansion and the servants.
And I will treat the servants like normal employees Wink sick days, parental leave, health care, days off. Sounds like paradise, eh?

It was a great movie -- one of my all time favorites. Complex morality indeed.

You could just as well use the pictures from Vegas. The ones I'm not sure I could post here because of anti porn rules.

I don't have a problem with those. Kings need scandals or it's no fun.

This is why I miss the Western.
They are going to FINALLY make a Deadwood movie to tie up the dangling loose ends of the fantastic 3 seasons of the HBO series. I can't wait.
I was PISSED when they canceled it after season 3 and left us hanging.

OK

RE: The US needs a king!
Yep, that reminds me....The year was 1977. It was the middle of August. I was working at a gas station (same one mentioned in the wrestling thread recently.) A middle-aged woman pulls into the parking lot erratically, opens her door and practically falls out onto the pavement wailing loudly and crying out "Why? WHY GOD? WHY?!!!" She sits there growing louder and more incoherent. I go up to her to try to find out if I should be calling the police, an ambulance....is there going to be another car pulling in behind her with an armed gunman? She stands up and fully collapses into my arms keening. Between sobs I finally start to catch a scrap of word here and there... "Dead..." (more incoherent noises) "King! King!" (more incoherent noises) "King is DEAD! He's Dead!!!" (incoherent noises betweensobs that are ever-increasing in volume) "The King is DEAD!!" (more incoherent rantings) "OH ELVIS, HOW COULD YOU LEAVE ME?!!??

I've never been an Elvis fan. So I tried to comfort her as best I could and frankly, I think I deserve some kind of life points for managing to NOT burst out laughing when I finally figured out what was wrong. Then another one pulled in who had just heard it on the radio. They didn't know each other but one look at each other and they knew they had pulled over for the same reason. They must have comforted each other for a good hour before either one of them was able to drive.

So, yeah, America had a King. His name was Elvis and he died forty years ago this month.

Where are we going and why am I in this hand basket?

Basically that's exactly what I mean. A lot of people seem to have this need to idolize someone.

Now, Elvis had talent. A pet king doesn't really have to know or do much of anything. Except make a couple of kids. Royals must have kids.

Remember Emperor Norton!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emperor_Norton

At the peremptory request and desire of a large majority of the citizens of these United States, I, Joshua Norton, formerly of Algoa Bay, Cape of Good Hope, and now for the last 9 years and 10 months past of S. F., Cal., declare and proclaim myself Emperor of these U. S.; and in virtue of the authority thereby in me vested, do hereby order and direct the representatives of the different States of the Union to assemble in Musical Hall, of this city, on the 1st day of Feb. next, then and there to make such alterations in the existing laws of the Union as may ameliorate the evils under which the country is laboring, and thereby cause confidence to exist, both at home and abroad, in our stability and integrity.
— NORTON I, Emperor of the United States.

When I shake my ignore file, I can hear them buzzing!

Yabbut, you don't actually have any powers, but you do get to live in a mansion and have servants.

How about I cast my vote for me to be Robert the First. I will be known to live in a mansion and have servants.
