In fact the statistics speak for themselves;

43.8% of Americans are unaware of lands outside their borders.
23.2% of Americans think there are only two countries (America & Not-America).
24.9% of Americans are aware of separate countries outside America but think that they are all Communist-Muslim-Terrorists who hate freedom.

That only leaves 8.1% percent with any decent world knowledge.

It's sad really.
