I think you could accept the fact that there is a God and still remain in his grace, you only need to discard all these nonsense the humans have invented and are selling it as "The Word of God". So reject the church, reject what some puny human is telling you, keep the faith in yourself and your hearth, so then you can believe in God or not, it matters not, you still are using your free will and you still are a good person because of your hearth, not because of some laws and fear of eternal fires. Even if you believe in God, you should ignore him and act as you would without him, only that way are you truly free.
