I highly doubt that that was what he had in mind. Dodgy

So my semi-annual oncology visit was Monday, cancer antigen test was a bit lower than last time. Four years of this, ready for an all clear.

See here they are the bruises some were self-inflicted and some showed up along the way. - JF

RE: The Whispering Thread
I think this song is incredibly beautiful and the lady who sings it has a lovely voice...

... but then I went and found an English translation of the lyrics. And now I feel slightly sick Sadcryface

Maybe I should reconsider my desire to learn Scottish Gaelic. There are enough things in this world I'm sorry I know/understand as it is Undecided.

Sweet Mother, sweet Maid
The one spotless womb
Wherein Jesus was laid
Dark night, mother
Hath come down on us
And we look out for thy shining
Sweet Star of the Sea

Deep night hath come down
On this rough-spoken world
And the banners of darkness
Are boldly unfurled
And the tempest-tossed Church
All her eyes are on thee
They look to thy shining
Sweet Star of the Sea

He gazed on thy soul
It was spotless and fair
For the empire of sin
It had never been there
None had e'er owned thee
Dear Mother, but He
And He blessed thy clear shining
Sweet Star of the Sea

Um, I think you might be confusing the song with your (wildest) dreams, dear. (Assuming "sacrificing" is an euphemism here.) Drinking Beverage

Me, I assumed, she was singing how her bonny love is the bonniest of them all. Or how she must go drown herself in the river, because she's been used as the plaything of an idle hour and tossed aside like a pair of soiled gloves or something (there was actually a song I heard once about what bastards men were... and that girls should love one another instead. Can't for the life of me remember the name or the exact lyrics, though. More's the pity.)
