Video The arrogance of being thick as a brick

It's all in your head, because there is no other place it could be.

Nearly 3 hours after starting to watch this, I'm 6 minutes through. Could this be the slowest internet connection in history? I'm getting very good at minesweeper thanks to SingTel.

RE: The arrogance of being thick as a brick
I feel so small and I LOVE SCIENCE.

I realized a couple things watching this: I find comfort in listening to the math-science geek speak, and I get anxious (I swear my BP goes up) listening to the bible references. I realized not only am I star dust, but I am dust that 'feeds' off of gas (air) much like dustballs collect on other matter, but much cooler.

Nothing to do with the point of the video, but I relish in having more awareness- I liked this video. Thanks!

Thanks for the post. Loved it.

I hope they discover the answer to some of these 'unknown' questions of the universe in my lifetime Smile

Humankind Dodgy (a total misnomer)

It certainly puts things into perspective. It's hard not to feel like an idiot when I am not only unable to come up with such theories, but I have serious trouble understanding them when they are explained. I can't help remembering how smart and self-sufficient I used to feel back when I used to be a religious "expert".

What pisses me off about religious nuts is that they are the ones who *demand* that science answers everything NOW! When science does answer their questions (their questions are not very smart either) they call it arrogant and know-it-all.

At the same time, they are the ones who claim to have all the answers and they have nothing to back it up with.

Oh, no Hallucinations 4:11 says the 'gilded sheep should be stewed in rat blood' but Morons 5:16 contradicts it. (Chas)

I would never shake a baby unless the recipe requires it.

If we evolved in Middle-Earth, does that make religion Sauron?

Careful, dude. I think you might have just opened the flood-gates for a full explanation of the mythical origins of the universe as documented (infallibly) by the prophet Tolkien in the Holy Silmarillion
