The difference in "flat earthers" and believers in god
The flat earthers has the advantage, in that they have an observable, physical base for their belief (albiet misguided and wrong) - whereas the "believer" has nothing observable, but simply the heresay prattling of some priest, preacher, inam or other deluded fuck.

On the other hand the flat earthers can be proved wrong by putting a stick in the ground at noon, then doing the same somewhere else on a different longitude.

Round earthers have proof. We have to use "teapot orbiting Jupiter" horse sense.

Theists can be proved wrong too. This notion that one must prove there is no God misses the point that there is no God to disprove. There is only the claim that a God exists. All one really need do to justify rejecting the claim is show that belief in it is irrational. Similarly with the belief that the Earth is flat. The procedure is the same for both. Simply show that both claims contradict known facts. It's actually easier to disprove theism because the facts which it contradicts are available to anyone, anywhere at any time by direct perception whereas it would take some specialized knowledge to show mathematical proof that the earth is actually a sphere.
