Midna's Lament on piano, with simplified left hand.

I don't even remember how old I was when I learned to "play my instrument", much less what I played on it. Weeping

Not counting those little practice pieces, I think it was Greensleeves for the recorder, and the Pink Panther theme for clarinet.

Sunshine of your Love was the first song I ever learnt on guitar. I would have been about 8 or 9... it is still a song I play live quite often.

The Entertainer on the piano, by ear. Pretty sure I screwed up a lot of parts in it, and it was definitely simplified.

I was to young the first time around (5 years old) to remember what dad taught me to play on the guitar. Probably a Hymn.

EDIT: Guitar

Same for me. First one I learned all the way through was Snowblind by Black Sabbath. First I ever did on stage was Beastie Boys 'You Gotta Fight For Your Right (to party)' at my Jr High talent show.

The first song i learned was the iconic hit.... hot cross buns, back in 6th grade we all had to either be in band or choir.

Guitar, main riff of Smoke On the Water by Deep Purple, then main riff of "Sweet Dreams" as performed by Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids. After that, Pretty Woman by Roy Orbison Big Grin How's that for a trio?
