I was hoping this forum was going to be different and people actually used their own brains a bit instead of considering what we already know. I guess not, everybody is saying wrong based on the present information, this is new information no one is considering logically.

I found probability far more interesting and challenging than statistics. Statistics is just applied math, probability can be a serious mindfuck. Big Grin

The Monty Hall problem
I did, too. I even saved my old statistics book just for that part.

And the Monty Hall problem was featured in that movie about the true story of Harvard students who won in Vegas.

The chooser knows there is not likely to be one heads or just 1 tails in the boxes and knows there is 5 boxes, they know their odds is not 1/2 it is picking 1 of 5 , that could have the odds 5/5 or 0/5 to be heads.

there is only one in a box not 2. it would be 1 of 1. which is 1 of 5
