What you wrote does not reflect the way probabilities are calculated.

This calculation come from scientists and I have checked it several times to be correct on several forums.

I think you missed the point.

Naked scientist one of the forums that confirmed that piece of maths.

I didn't say it gave the wrong result, I said it was poorly formed.

Which has what to do with this discussion?

But to calculate exactly one heads is this

1/2*(1/2)^4*5=1.5625

Using standard operation order of preference, 1/2 *(1/2)^4*5 = 1/2*1/16*5 = 1/32*5 = 5/32 = 0.15625 = 15.625%. Or you could just count 5/32 directly. Now I know you're a troll. A moron could not have come up with that. I think I might rep you. Big Grin

EDIT: Fixed my decimal points. Blush

#sigh

Which has what to do with this discussion?

It brings time into the discussion, lets say period (A) was 1 hour

and in period (A) over a continuous time we receive 4 aces in a standard game of poker using a single deck re-shuffled. So if we wait we have a 100% chance of receiving 4 aces in 1 hour in this scenario.

4 aces occupying space time over a period of a 1 hr distance.

Now imagine choice of set,

12345/12345/12345/12345/12345

you no longer are 100% to receive the 4 aces in 1 hour.

you could receive all 4 aces in the first 4 hands

time ..............................A............................A..................................A.................................A

Why don't you take it to twoplustwo forum, it's a poker forum , they have a math section with excellent mathematicians there whose understanding of odds and probabilities is second to none , they make a living out of them.

They shut me down on a 5k hit thread, they checked my maths, poker strategy .com confirmed my maths then shut the thread, they agree in principle without agreeing then say I am wrong and

NNNNN

is 1/2

They admit x is not equal to Y then say everything is still the same when it is not.

Can you give me your nick on twoplustwo , I would like to check the thread (I'm a member there ) ?

RE: The internet world says this
''In your scenario where a single card is drawn from 52 separate standard decks we can mathematically show that the probability of having exactly 4 aces is not 4/52. Is this the paradox?
How is it a paradox? It is simply a mathematical fact. ''

My response

A mathematical fact of a paradox. I offer you a choice of 52 random top cards is the same has offering you a choice of 52 random decks if you are on the SB.

and this quote was from the mod who closed the thread after agreeing with me in principle.
