The jazz, International and traditional & classical musics thread.
Hi guys.

I figured I'd begin this thread as a place to put music that may not be in the "mainstream" of western pop music. Which is after all the more popular. Lately I have been adding international music to the What are you listening to thread and it seems a tad out of place. So feel free to add jazz, electronica, classical, avant garde, international styles etc.

I envision this as a thread where one can post entire concerts, albums and clips.

To begin the truly international nature of this this thread, I'd like to present a Norwegian songstress singing the great American art form Jazz.

Silje Nergaard singing her beautiful and touching ballad Japanese Blue.
When I first heard this song I grabbed my brushes and played it over and over, I found it so touching.

This is not America. Written by Metheny and Mays.

Be still my heart.

Tell me where you're goin'.

Mister Barrington

21st century electronica played by superb live musicians. Zach Danziger, the drummer is one of the world's greatest young drummers,. The bass player quit The Roots to join this project. Hardly known but quite remarkable.

Dudley

MOWER

See Your Face

Talking shop.

The first revolt is against the supreme tyranny of theology, of the phantom of God. As long as we have a master in heaven, we will be slaves on earth.
