Most caterpillars are somewhat toxic and can make you sick.

Now ... if you're looking for tasty backyard treats ... mmmm ... fry up some grubs and I'll be at your table helping you snarf em down. Kind of a nutty taste - super high in protein, as well.

If you're looking for other great wild edibles, cattails can't be beat. Where there's water, there's cattails... you do live in a swamp. Thumbsup

Oh yeah. I do the hearts of cattails. Haven't had any in a long time, though.
