The moral molecule
I watched an interesting show on the Science Channel about psycho killers. Paul Zak, one of the scientists that they talked to, traced various behaviors associated with morality to a chemical produced in the body called Oxytocin. He gave a TED talk last year in which he described the research and the results. It's very interesting:
