If there's one good thing the bible has ever accomplished that was good and decent it was the inspiration of a couple of awesome seasons in the Supernatural tv series (actually nudged me along the road to atheism)
The series makes such good use of ancient folklore and superstition and hits
the fucking jackpot when it moves on to biblical myths from the pagan stuff and combining the two Big Grin.

If you didnt watch this then:
A) time to move out from under that rock
&
B) buy the fucking dvd's

I've always said that a miniseries based on the literal interpretation of Revelation would be awesome.
