Grease is the word, is the word...
It's got a groove, it's got a meaning
Grease is the time, is the place, is the motion
Grease is the way we are feeling

I have evidence of it, you only have opinion.

Your opinion is of no concern to me. Drinking Beverage

Your point? Consider

This is you, not some god pulling your puppet strings.
There is nothing wrong in you taking credit for these things. Have faith in yourself. If you value compassion and wisdom and love and value charity and helping others then YOU can make decisions and take steps towards what you consider to be a fulfilling life for you.
You don't need to imagine a god, you don't need to give this god the credit. It is you. Well done you.

If it was a god, in particular, if it was the Christian god, then you would see that there is a statistical advantage regarding health statistics for those people who are Christians over those who are not. Christians on the average would be healthier, it would show up in the statistics. But it does not. How do you account for that?

No, you lead yourself towards this. You know what you value and you take action towards those things. It is you not god who does these things or makes these choices. You do not need to believe in god to continue doing these things you say you do. You can do them because you value them and find it fulfilling in your life to behave that way.

Define sin!
Alla
Sure. Sin is breaking God's Laws. Every time I break God's law and I know/understand I do this, I sin. Every time I break God's law and I don't know/don't understand I do this, I transgress the law.
That presumes that there is a God. If there is no god then it follows that there are no "God's Laws."
(25-11-2015 12:12 PM)Alla Wrote:  fstop
And what is the unforgivable sin? Disbelief.
Alla
Not true. There is only one unforgivable sin - sin against the Holy Ghost.
That depends on which denomination's dogma we are talking about. At least one says that the one unforgivable sin is disbelief, although I don't know which one (apparently not Catholicism). But there are 30,000+ denominations so ... ???

The "Holy Ghost" is part of the trinity, i.e., the God Committee. Are you saying that the sin against the Father or the Son is not unforgivable?

It's not enough to say that if you are a good person and do good works then you will go to heaven.
Alla
If you are good person and do good works and you NEVER break God's laws, then you don't need faith, you can go to heaven. But there are no people like this.
How do you know that?
