RE: The theory of revolution and skepticism
I'm not satisfied with how sceptic and scepticism have been dealt with in this thread in general.

I'll try to be more clear. In a nut shell scepticism is an attitude of questioning. It is about not taking significant matters for granted. Scepticism is a process and not an end point in itself. Scepticism is not rejection or denial.

It has been said that muslims are sceptics of the bible. This is not true. Muslims accept the bible as the word of god. They just believe that the koran is the final testament of god which supercedes the bible. They disagree, which is rejection and not scepticism, with some details like Jesus being the son of god.

8000 years before Jesus, the Egyptian god Horus said, "I am the way, the truth, the life."

RE: The theory of revolution and skepticism
Yes, there are skeptics who are not christians.
Most of them are atheists.

I would be hard pressed to name any christians who are in fact, skeptics.

I'm going to assume your theory if revolution has something to do with planetary orbits because I have a feeling, this subject will go round and round or more accurately elliptical and elliptical.

Welcome to the forum and hope you can clear up your question and title.

Some Hindus, some Muslims, probably a few scientologists, etc.

Oh yeah, and quite a few Catholics, they're not true Christians. <\ fundie >

RE: The theory of revolution and skepticism
I'm thinking he mistyped/misspelled the title and meant to say theory of evolution and skepticism.

Atheism =/= scepticism.
Scepticism is likely to lead to atheism.
Atheism does not necessarily lead to scepticism.

I'm assuming you are asking "Are there any skeptics of evolution that are not Christian?".

If so, I respond "Yes. There are also people who accept evolution who are also Christian.". It turns out that religion and evolution aren't mutually exclusive, even if evolution runs counter to a literal reading of the two creation stories in Genesis.
