Not true, Crucifixion wasn't for common criminals, but rather for Insurrectionists of the Roman State. It was a punishment made to humiliate, and to be made an example of.

We actually talked about this in the TTA Skypecast episode 6.

Not to mention that Jesus (Yeshua) would have never really gotten a trial anyways.

Plus, Jesus wasn't hung with two ROBBERS. Robbers was a mistranslation, the real, accurate word in Greek meant Insurrectionists. Crucifixion was a an extreme punishment. This is even highlighted in the Bible, as he got flogged before he before crucified, which is rare.

He most likely got flogged (if he even existed) as the punishment, but then later on got crucified. Again, this is assuming the Bible is accurate.

Sorry to nitpick.

There was no trial.
No Jew was EVER, (not once) tried on Passover weekend. It never happened.
During the Pax Romana, troublemakers were executed, by the thousands, with no trial, by standing order. If there was a Jebus, (and there probably wasn't), he had no trial as a Galilean peasant, in front of Roman aristocrats. No one would have been allowed into a trial witness it. The gospels can't even agree at what time, and on what day he died. In some they say he is silent. In John he gives a long speech. They are totally unreliable, and non-historical. There are countless unanswerable questions about why, if he was tried, when he "rose", no one was concerned, or went to look for him. What happened to all the other zombies ? In Acts, both the Romans and the Jews have no clue what Peter is even talking about, when he talks about a person they "killed". Then Peter makes up some shit about ... well see below. It's NOT what you think. Carrier does a great job ripping apart Acts. They made it all up. The gospels are elaborately constructed chiasmic myths, done perfectly according to classical mythological construction, as Carrier has demonstrated.

I was just supporting what you said.

Alright, that's what I thought. I might have read it with the wrong inflection.
