I've been in an online debate for the past week or so with a woman who believes that NDE's (Near-Death Experiences) are truly spiritual in nature. I explained to her quite thoroughly what we know about how NDE's work, but she simply refuses to accept it.

Today, in her response, she made the following statements:

"I am a scientist and I am able to be spiritual too. So is Dr. Alexander. Your explanation for NDEs is a theory. It is not proven."

I was just so absolutely elated that a self-proclaimed "scientist" doesn't know the difference between a theory and a hypothesis that I had to share. Big Grin

Carry on.

Through profound pain comes profound knowledge.
