If you want to differentiate between chips and chips you can say "hot chips" vs "chips". Fish and chips always refers to "hot chips". Chips you might bring to a party are of the non-hot variety.

Can a site be called American, English etc? I have owned many sites and the domain could be .co.uk, .info, .net, .com etc. It all depended on where I could get the domain name I wanted. Also, the servers I used were chosen because of cost and could be anywhere in the world.
