Chas,

Gotta know!

The pic below the ice-cream van (I can't help thinking of Tim Minchen's skit on that one) and above the Lone Ranger... what is it?

I tried opening in a new tab but I get:
"Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /paul/images/flying50/106381.jpg on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."
And there is a little US flag symbol on the tab.

Just curious.

are you sure they existed in your childhood? I thought most of 'm were invented when you were like 50 years old

I don't really like going outside.
It's too damn "peopley" out there....

RE: Things That Take You Back to Your Childhood
I was a child of nature and lived near...........

Tahoe. When I was about 4 or 5

Then we moved to Calistoga which is near Napa Valley

We moved from Calistoga to a place not far away. It was a resort area called Anderson Springs

We then moved to Southern California for a miserable, hellish year and then up near June Lake California where I was happy again. Here's down town June Lake.

Here is the lake in winter.

We didn't have TV reception and couldn't afford cable most of the time so I don't remember TV shows. I just remember beautiful places!

Shakespeare Insult 13 – Henry IV Part 1
“That trunk of humours, that bolting-hutch of beastliness, that swollen parcel of dropsies, that huge bombard of sack, that stuffed cloak-bag of guts, that reverend vice, that grey Iniquity, that father ruffian, that vanity in years?”

You call that winter?

The lake's not even frozen!

Is this better? It's a pretty deep lake carved out by glaciers. We used to ice skate on it in winter.

And here is a photo of it in a snow storm. This is in the Sierra Nevada Mountains by the way.
