Things our Kimmies might like
Have you ever found yourself thinking, "Hey, I wonder if Kim would like this?" Probably not. But last night I found myself in that state of mind and decided we need a thread to place those special things that we would guess Kim might find interesting as well.

The inspiration for this thought came from watching Life In A Day.
Wikipedia describes it as: "a crowdsourced drama/documentary film comprising an arranged series of video clips selected from 80,000 clips submitted to the YouTube video sharing website, the clips showing respective occurrences from around the world on a single day, July 24, 2010.

The film is 94 minutes 53 seconds long[1] and includes scenes selected from 4,500 hours of footage in 80,000 submissions from 192 nations.[3][4] The completed film debuted at the Sundance Film Festival on January 27, 2011[5][6] and the premiere was streamed live on YouTube.[7] On October 31, 2011, YouTube announced that Life in a Day would be available for viewing on its website free of charge, and on DVD."
I found it streaming on Netflix.

I wouldn't normally go for a movie like this, but last night the planets and neuro-chemistry were aligned in such a way that I was curious enough to hit play and then continued mesmerized by the beauty, poignancy, music, and human vulnerability portrayed by this film. I don't remember ever saying, "It was a beautiful film," but it really was. There is no plot, other than to let the day, July 24, 2010 play out over the globe in a 24 hour period.

I gave it 4 out of 5 Netflix stars and an 9 out of 10 for being a thing I think our Kimmies might like. Thumbsup

I really loved this film, too! Something about it... can't put my finger on it. Like nothing happened but 'something' did. Thumbsup

Yeah, it might be a kimmie thing, I agree! Kim?

I wen't to a special premier showing of Life In A Day at one of my favorite art cinemas in Kansas City. Heart I loved it.
It may not have seemed like much ... but I couldn't take my eyes off it. It really took some putting together.

I think in the end, I just feel like I'm a secular person who has a skeptical eye toward any extraordinary claim, carefully examining any extraordinary evidence before jumping to conclusions. ~ Eric ~ My friend ... who figured it out.
