How do I change the mode from what mode I've got now to the other mode?

I am suggesting a presentation identical to Linear Mode but in Threaded post order.
The code pretty much exists, it's just a little cut-and-paste to create this new mode.

While it would be nice to have indentation or other visual cues, they are unnecessary, and I am not suggesting them.
