RE: Time management
Boy, I would go nuts if I had all those apps controlling what I do!

Just make a list, on one side put all the stuff that isn't getting done, on the other side put all the stuff you like "wasting" your time on.

Then put a time value next to each and juggle them until everything important has enough time allotted and everything fun does too. Do it once a week, your time will be managed and you will also be very clear about what YOU like and want and value.

I waste way too much time during the day (a dig at myself there and a heads-up that I will have to spend less time here) on various sites. Just plain fucking-off. I have downloaded a chrome extension called StayFocused that blocks sites after you have been on them for some allotted amount of time and downloaded a white noise app for my cell phone to block out background noise. I also downloaded an app to my pc called ResuceTime that monitors how much time you spend on various sites or programs, so you can track where you are wasting too much time.

So, here is my question. Does anyone else have any helpful hints, apps, or programs for improving productivity, curbing distractions, and increasing general focus?

I forbid you to spend less time here! Sleepy

Any smartphone you can get your hands on has something similar to an Iphone's "Reminders" app. Just set limits/alarms on what you do daily, and use it how it benefits you most.
