To a Theist Parent from an Atheist Child
In Shannon Sagan's (the author of the video) own words.

"This is a poem I wrote for my mom who is a Christian. I wrote it about a
week after I told her I was bi and she expressed her bigoted view on
the subject. I read it to her already, but it still didn't affect her in
any way. I figured I may not be the only one out there that has this
problem, so maybe this would help someone else. Feel free to share with
anyone you think this would help. I also apologize for how harsh I sound
in the video; it's difficult not to get caught up in the anger. Also,
I'm sleep deprived and tired of doing take after take because I make a
mistake. I'll try to make my videos better next time. Until then, this
will do. If you can't understand the poem it is down below."

"IN THRUST WE TRUST"

"We were conservative Jews and that meant we obeyed God's Commandments until His rules became a royal pain in the ass."

- Joel Chastnoff, The 188th Crybaby Brigade

Sad and great at the same time. It is sad because her mother will never get the message. She is message-retarded, as fundamentalists usually are...

Very touching. Very...appropriate. However, like filox said no fundamentalist is going to hear you. It's sad, but very true.
