Today's Sermon Notes - Breaking Bad
Today our pastor preached a sermon called "Breaking Bad" and showed a clip from the show.

The point is "'We're all evil and deserve to die."

The good news was that God committed suicide to rescue us from our wicked hearts.

So "Thou shalt not murder" only applies if you're not God killing your own son.

Isn't god also jesus, so he was Mary's rapist, her son and her sons father .
Thus on the the 4,000th day god created therapy.

suicide was the only way out of that mess,
GOD breaking bad, it did run for 30 seasons or so. gruesome ending.

Zeus was like ,for frak sake Yaywa just abandon your illegitimates, don't become them.

Theism is to believe what other people claim, Atheism is to ask "why should I".

The bible could likely be rewritten into one heck of a long soap opera.

RE: Today's Sermon Notes - Breaking Bad
onedream,

How the fuck do you hold it together when you are listening to this kinda crap?

Back in Sydney, I was invited to a sermon (pretext was a short movie... which was not bad) and the vicar / pasta / priest / whatever made an analogy between christ's journey and Frodo Baggins' quest.

The parallel being 'hope', I think.

On more than one occasion I burst out laughing. I had to bite my knuckles just to control myself.

You get this stuff every week? Have you used some kind of vaccine?

For those of us who don't know your situation, could you explain why you go to church?

I don't talk gay, I don't walk gay, it's like people don't even know I'm gay unless I'm blowing them.

If Breaking Bad has a take-home lesson it's not that.

Today's Sermon Notes - Breaking Bad
I go to church because my wife asks me to since I'm not out to anyone but her and Seth. Seth and I have been friends for 20 years. And he helped me deconvert. So naturally I'd tell him.

That's quite an interesting message considering that god doesn't let anyone die. In that view, everyone transitions on to heaven or hell. No real death. (Yet real death would be the most merciful compared with eternal pain or eternal boredom.)

Friends with "the godfather". Tongue

Nice.

Since you're being questioned at the moment I'll ask one. You're username, what is your one dream? I'm just curious.
