I found out my grandfather committed suicide. It's rather shaking, and I don't know what to make of it.

How very sad. Was he sick ? How old was he ? Did he have a history of depression ? was there an external problem ?

He was a alcoholic, his girlfriend tried to make him quit by saying "It's either the drink or me," And left me. He became very drunk one night and pounded on her door, which led to the cops arresting him. For some time it was quiet then he went to her porch and shot himself there. He was older, I'm not sure but I'd say 60+. And yeah, he made a lot of enemies with the family.

Not really. When I was little yeah I was fond of him, but I moved away and never thought of him since. I was in his town this summer too...but I didn't visit him.

It is. The family drama that is currently unraveling is also surprising.

Sorry RT, it's rough when something like this happens, especially when it's someone you aren't sure how you feel about. Gets confusing and weird. Hugs.
