RE: Top Ten Films of All Time?
Hm. Let's see.

The only one that I'm certain about is High Noon. That movie is absolutely brilliant, containing some of the greatest writing and acting I've ever seen. Shane might also go up there, except that it has two obvious problems - the kid (not bad writing, but the kid himself is a terrible actor and just comes across as annoying) and the barfight (wherein Shane becomes a god among men, totally unnecessary).

A rough list (High Noon wins by quite a margin. Its spot is confirmed. The rest move around depending on my mood):

1. High Noon
2. Saving Private Ryan
3. The Usual Suspects
4. Hot Fuzz
5. Shaun of the Dead
6. The Godfather
7. Monty Python and the Holy Grail
8. The Prestige
9. Watchmen
10. The Princess Bride

Honorable Mentions:

Aladdin, Get Smart, Princess Mononoke, Aliens, Terminator 2, Murder By Death, Clue, Alien, The Lion King, Shane, The Magnificent Seven (SO much more watchable than its Japanese counterpart), District 9, and others.

I haven't seen Ponyo yet, but I'll get to it eventually. Ghibli is also working on a video game called Ni no Kuni, which looks great.

Ghibli is like the Pixar of Japan.

Ponyo was good :-) I <3Studio Ghibi !!!!! WOW a video game ^__^ now I'm going to have to look up the details on that one ^o^

Video for Ni No Kuni

RE: Top Ten Films of All Time?
Fight Club is my all-time favourite movie; the rest are really in no particular order other than what comes to my mind first.

1. Fight Club
2. The Rocky Horror Picture Show
3. Donnie Darko
4. Across the Universe
5. Hannibal
6. Sweeney Todd
7. Dazed and Confused
8. Pink Floyd: The Wall
9. Chasing Amy
10.Inglorious Basterds

I have also loved EVERY Pixar movie that I've seen, and would list them all if I could. I agree, Ponyo is amazing! So much better than the Disney version. I also like pretty much everything by Tim Burton and Quentin Tarantino.
