Def an entertaining selection. Haven't seen Across the Universe yet. I love TNBC. My birthday is the day before Halloween so as a kid it was always one to watch. I liked 10 Days but thought the ending killed it. Such a stupid way to finish off the climax.

Props for even knowing what Death To Smoochy is. Classic fucked up movie. Plus who doesn't love Edward Norton?
The only two movies I would argue about would be Imaginarium (sorry but it was... gibberish IMO Wink ) and Chasing Amy, which to me is Smiths weakest movie other than Jersey Girl.
Princess Bride is a flippin classic on a level no other movie will ever attain. If you are a girl, and a thinker then you should watch Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind. It's neat to watch, and a fantastic and retarded love story.

Yeah Death to Smoochy is a movie I could watch over and over and never get sick of it.. it makes me giggle from the opening to the end.. I'm not sure what you would call this type of humor.. dark? morbid? twisted? cheesy? but whatever it is makes me an extrememly happy lady..

I really liked the visuals on Imaginarium -- and thought the gambling with the devil plot was neat.. also I loved that they saved the movie and imo actually made it better by splitting up Ledger's role after he died.

-Chasing Amy is my FAV Kevin Smith movie.. not sure I can give you a reason why tho Smile

and I've seen Eternal I liked it.. but didn't love it.. I think mostly cause I'm not a big Carey fan..

Across the Universe is amazing, perfect if you like the Beatles. I agree that the ending for 10 Days was a little weak, but it was still an amazing movie.
LOL.

RE: Top Ten Films of All Time?
Reading this thread helped to pull many of mine out of memory. I can't put an order to lists like this - my brain just arbitrarily grasps at whatever is around and says, "Here, is this what you are looking for?" So, yea… just momentary favorites:

Mystery Train
The Lives Of Others
Amalie
Sling Blade
The Crying Game
Bringing Up Baby
Enduring Love
Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead
Bulworth
Anonymous - I just saw this a few days ago… it's just in my mind at the moment, but really one of the better films I've seen in a while.

I think in the end, I just feel like I'm a secular person who has a skeptical eye toward any extraordinary claim, carefully examining any extraordinary evidence before jumping to conclusions. ~ Eric ~ My friend ... who figured it out.

I don't love these movies, but I love this list of movies. I purposely clicked on this link to see what floated your boat and was pleased to see you didn't disappoint. Smile

Oh, maybe you did disappoint! Where's Tombstone?

13. The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (Peter Jackson, 2001)
11. The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002)
10. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)

While I like most of the flicks on your list, I have to take exception to these.
I spelled out my reasons on the '10 Worst Films' thread.

But the bottom line is that he fucked up the story, big time; especially the ending - he missed the point.
