But if they think they're animals... Do they... like... Love animals? I mean, do they have it with animals? Confused

LOL. That sounds like something Groucho Marx would say.

For those who don't know, Groucho was part of the comedy team "The Marx Brothers" from the 1920s to the 1940s and was in comedy and show business until the early 1960s.

Not necessarily. Being into bestiality (having sex with animals) isn't a prerequisite for being a furry. But I don't doubt that some of them do. There are also non-furries who do.

There are some truly straaaange people out there.

Ok, so I just looked up "furries" on wiki.

So, it's people who like animated animals that walk around like humans, right? It didn't seem like there was anything sexual to it but, judging by the comments here, I'm guessing there is.

I'm now concluding that just about everyone but me has way to much free time.

Yes.

The "I like anthropomorphic animals" bit is actually not uncommon. I have no problem with seeing characters like that in cartoons or anything.

But that's only the... er... "clean" definition of "furry". Most furries like to dress up in suits like these animated animals and have sex. They also look at pornography involving these animated animals.

As far as fetishes go, there are worse ones, but it's still kind of weird.

Zoophilia and being a furry are completely different things.

Most furries actually hate reality, so are only sexually attracted to cartoons.

I'm amazed there are enough people in to this that they can constitute a group. Cartoon animal sex? Really? They see Bug Bunny and think "hubba hubba hubba"?

Actually, this is consistent with an observation I made when I went to Amsterdam the first time, maybe 14 years ago, and walked through the Red Light District one-weekend: any kind of act or fetish you can possible come up with in your mind, regardless of how sick, deviant or demented it may seem, will have enough people into it to support at least 2 magazines and several websites.

I guess one person's depravity is another person's orgasm. To each their own.

Well, no, not really. I mean, you might get people who think that, but the vast majority of furries come up with their own... er... characters, I guess. Or use someone slightly more sexual, at the very least. A popular figure among the furry fandom is Krystal from the Star Fox video games.

...Yes, I spend far too much time reading Encyclopedia Dramatica. My computer probably has sixteen viruses on it from there alone. But the articles are funny, and I'm bored.
