Besides, KC, I appreciated your definition of troll vs non-troll.

Yeah, but you don't have to deal with the complaints. The FT, aurora, and I do.

Yet the question remains. Which would we like to see more/less of? What better serves the community?

But now I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth.

Hard to say for sure. A certain amount of troll baiting is good for the community as it exposes bad theistic arguments (or agnostic or pseudoscience etc) and shows an effective counter to them. However this can lead to a feedback loop like we had with Miss Meng, a poster that just wanted to cause chaos and get attention. IMO that is the only kind of troll that really needs to be banned. As far as Lion or Dritch they are fun chew toys to keep around for our amusement. Honestly I think the forum would be better off with the removal of 2 posters (and since Meng seems to have left just 1) and surprise surprise that other poster is not a theist.

Note that we did no such thing whilst the topic was fresh. Tongue

Who is we?

If it's all the atheists posting here, then they've spoken - they like trolls, as evidenced by the post counts of threads featuring people considered to be trolls.

Ahh.... I see.
Ok then. No, my only true perspective would be that of member not admin.

When I want your opinion I'll read your entrails.

I disagree with that. I think we can be nice and fair to people who treat us the same regardless of their belief or lack thereof.

Correct. Like it or not, AM is right. The evidence STRONGLY suggests that the "community" likes trolls.

No I think that one has turned tail and run since his little secret got out.
