Tell me again, progressives, how there was no fucking difference between Trump and Clinton.

Atheism is NOT a Religion. It's A Personal Relationship With Reality!

Apparently many Sanders supporters couldn't believe they were outnumbered by sincere Clinton supporters. They thought they lost was because Clinton was so awful.

In my opinion, Sanders and Trump had more in common than Clinton and Trump. Both were populists, both were running against the establishment, both wanted big changes.

But in opposite directions.

One could also say, one's idealistic the other one exclusive.

Don't appellate judges have to swear to uphold the constitution and the laws? Hard to do that when you think your opinion outweighs your oath.

Atheism: it's not just for communists any more!

I keep seeing this all over my feed as "proof" of "persecution". It's like, "No...it would be foolhardy to think a person's beliefs don't influence them, however, when they actively say their legal career is only to further the building of God's Kingdom, it's not inappropriate for Senator Feinstein to question that."

Need to think of a witty signature.

Fair enough if you're pessimistic.

Sure. So does the President and all members of Congress. Has it ever stopped any of them from violating the Constitution?

The problem is that, to her (if she's a good Catholic), it's not opinion, it's The Truth™. God's truth, if you believe in it, must outweigh anything earthly.

What amuses me is that she was described earlier in the thread as a conservative Catholic who is pro-choice. Isn't that an oxymoron?

If she's a good catholic, the pope would be her utmost authority. Which isn't the case with rightwing American figures of public interest. Ryan sticks out like a sore thumb when it comes to his adoration of Ayn Rand. Double irony there, since Rand was an atheist to boot.
