You are correct. Impeachment does not mean removal from office.

Impeachment is the equivalent of indictment and being bound over for trial.
The trial on the charges takes place in the Senate. Conviction results in removal from office.

I don't know what the problem is with him watching a lot of TV. The more time he spends doing that and sending stupid tweets the less time he has for fucking up the country. If he's going to be there I'd much rather he just sat around watching reruns of his past glories as reality TV host. At least that he was almost qualified for.
