Turkey is hit by ANOTHER bomb
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-35798824

25 dead.

That's the third bomb in less than year, no? It's gonna hit their tourism real bad, and who knows what else.

Sad

But as if to knock me down, reality came around
And without so much as a mere touch, cut me into little pieces

Aussies normally go for Anzac day. That’s over.

That's terrible. I hope Izel is o.k.

I also saw that terrorists hit Grand Bassam, a beach near Abidjan in the Cote d'Ivoire. My wife, our son and I spent a lot of time at that beach in by-gone years. It's primarily frequented by French tourists although it didn't appear to be in this killing.

This shit has gotten way out of hand.

That's right. I'd forgotten that. Thanks for setting me straight.

I wonder if Turkey regrets shooting down those SU 24 bombers who were targeting Isis?

Good question. And I wonder if Putin would have stopped incursions before it was shot down? It is a question of who one believes.

Turkey argues that the warplane wasn't targetting ISIS, (and it was one bomber).
"..The US State Department said that the US independently confirmed that the aircraft's flight path violated Turkish territory, and that the Turks gave multiple warnings to the pilot, to which they received no response.." Source:

The USA wants Turkey to join the EU but the EU doesn't want more immigration of people who don't have the same traditions of democracy and freedom of speech common to most European countries. The US assessment seems to be that the process of EU accession will cement secularism in Turkey. That view isn't shared by many Europeans. We are having trouble with some authoritarianism in Hungary and (arguably) even Poland at this point. The EU doesn't want an influx of people who might want religious laws or less freedom of expression; nor a nation of 75 millions many of whom aren't politically secular. EU enlargement had brought issues all its own and people say the process needs consolidation.
