Not that I have any affection for the Muslim Brotherhood (on the contrary), but your article present them as more moderate and sympathetic than the ones about the Alt-Right.

This article, from an atrociously biased website, makes a better job at presenting them as dangerous

This one, also biased, also present the Brothrhood in darker shade and in a less openly "anti-muslim" way.

Well they ain't the worst type of mulism, but there connections with terror groups is uncomfortable. Also I like how the Alt-Right article talks about 4-chan and 8-chan.

hmmmmm ... so I actually read the feed. I didn't see anything on there the least bit provocative. I mean except for that business about stopping the executions in Egypt. now that's offensive. Why do you feel the content of the feed shouldn't be approved?

twitter is not in the business of protecting the first amendment. It's their bottom line they are looking after. If the muslim brotherhood becomes a threat to it, they likely will not think twice about giving it similar treatment to alt-right.

As a matter of fact, they probably couldn't care less about alt-right, if they had no tendency of trying to maintain visibility by hijacking the trends. That aspect - not the content itself - is what twitter has determined is ultimately not healthy for its bottom-line.

They figured, if alt-right - the gifted trolls they are - became comfy, that was not a good thing for twitter.

So is the Alt-Right... Its not because you are using 4-chan or 8-chan that you are harmless. It just means you like their message board system.

Maybe some memes, if they are crafted well, yet if a feminist crafted a meme well I would enjoy it as well. But 4-chan is a cesspool. No one survives 4-chan

Personally, I don't want to censor anyone, even them. I am just pointing out how it is strange that they banned one group that seemed hateful, and not the other.

They didn't ban a group. They banned certain types of speech. It doesn't matter what they "seem", what do they say in their feed? If it's not hateful or spiteful or inciteful then what's the problem? White supremacists aren't banned.

Sorry about the late response; I still don't have Internet in my new apartment so I can't post over the weekend.

On the contrary, your answers to my questions established that you're okay with discrimination so long as it isn't based on an inherent trait that the person was born with. I happen to think that even deliberately chosen traits should not be used as a basis for discrimination when it comes to free speech as long as the person stays within the legal boundaries.

You trust Twitter to be the arbiter of what is and isn't hate speech? I don't, but the potential for abuse is rife either way.

Am I to take it that you weren't sure whether or not I was in favor of people being allowed to beat up gays before I responded to you? Dodgy

I'm not getting that impression from what you've said so far. You don't, for instance, support the right of a private venue to determine that homosexuality isn't acceptable. Your exclusion of inherent traits when it comes to acceptable discrimination is, well, rather arbitrary. What is your justification for it?

Three weeks? That's impressive.
