U.S. Pres: Do republicans have a chance?
I don't really care if you consider yourself republican or not (nor do I especially care if you hold the current two-party system in contempt), but do you honestly think the front runners have a chance?

If Trump and Carson are leading the polls, and they are both absolute jokes, I just don't see republicans as even having a shot this next election. What do you think?

I prefer fantasy, but I have to live in reality.

They don't.
That is all. Thank you.

Some people have to learn things the hard way.
If they want to win, they will have to get the poker out of their asses, and learn what it means to broaden their support base.

And here I was hoping Ann Coulter would be the first woman president. Weeping

Rubio is the only one I think has a winning the national election chance, but older republicans don't seem to like him. I think they would still vote for him but I guess the question is how motivated will they be for the guy?

RE: U.S. Pres: Do republicans have a chance?
Define a chance? The probability that a Republican wins is certainly not 0%. And, no matter who they throw out there, you can expect that person to get at least 45% of the popular vote (assuming Trump doesn't run as a 3rd party candidate and siphon votes away). People really don't like Hillary. The number of people who vote "for" her is likely to be lower than the number of votes she gets that are against the Republican candidate.

This election is going to come down to PA, Ohio and maybe Florida. Any thing can happen in the course of a year.

If I had to bet, I'd bet the Republicans lose and Clinton is our next president. But, the Republicans are not out of it by any means.

Don't cry yourself yet, you know you could have that old scary socialist instead still. You can't write that off just yet.

RE: U.S. Pres: Do republicans have a chance?
I hope it comes down to Trump getting eliminated as the nominee close enough to the end that he still thinks it's feasible to run as an Independent. That'll basically hand the White House to the Democratic nominee, presumably Clinton. I like Bernie a whole lot better, and I feel like he's actually more electable, but something tells me the puppet masters would never allow him to get the nomination.

I'm still holding out a small hope for a DeGrasse-Tyson/Nye ticket... but not much hope.

And you don't know Sanders, I see. You show me ONE time he ever said anything about taking anyone's land away from them.

I don't think Trump or Carson will make it to the ticket. I don't think Bush will, either. Whoever wins the primaries will have a chance at winning, but I hope that won't happen.
