Isn't this kind of a problem for the atheist movement in America? That its largely a liberal movement?

There must be more conservative atheists out there who are just as sick of religion...

I've often thought this was the case - indeed it's a point raised briefly in 'The Four Horsemen'. Thing is that the conservative side of US politics appears to be purposely linking itself to faith and so for a conservative to come out atheist would be political suicide...

Karl Rove is an agnostic. Openly so. It was never raised because he is the architect behind the republican takeover of the mid-aughts.

Apparently I side with Labour on most issues - interesting that the website seems to be able to say what Labour stands for a the minute - Miliband and Balls don't seem to be able to decide.

Three parties I side with most are Labour, Greens and LD - fair enough for a liberal lefty!

I'd say he's an exception that proves the rule - plus he knows how to win elections - at least in theory so he's far too important to get rid of...

It is an open dirty secret. Now that he is losing (he had a disastrous run in the 2012 campaign) people are turning on him. That and the tea party hate him because he is a party guy.

Apparently, I'm a Solid Liberal, but based on the description, that can't be right. "...Solid Liberals are very optimistic about the nation’s future..." when have I been optimistic about anything?
