He only quoted the first line but it's hard to believe this uber Christian didn't know the rest of the quote which is pretty much a death prayer. What an asshole.

Here's the whole psalm.

Let his days be few; and let another take his office.

Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.

Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places.

Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; and let the strangers spoil his labour.

Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children.

Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out.

Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the Lord; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.

That's just plain ol' messed up. Praying for someone to die? Really?

That's both extreme and idiotic.

Why would people voice their concerns over a silly biblical prayer made by some hick politician?

By doing that publicly, they're inadvertently giving Perdue some sort of undeserved relevance in the eyes of the faithful. Better to totally ignore the bloke rather than give him free publicity.

By ignoring it you let these shits think they can get away with this. Let's remember that the dickhead really believes that this magic mumbo jumbo works, as do large numbers of his electorate. As far as he's concerned he really is attempting to hurt Obama with this shit, just as real as if he was actually trying to kill him. The fact that in the modern Western allegedly civilised world a politican can call for the death of an opponent and not be out on his arse is bullshit.

Hitler started ranting on street corners. (And fuck Godwin's "Law".)

The fact is if you let statements like this slide you're aiding and abetting the stupidity.
