Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors.... on Donald J. Trump:

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

I'm watching the train wreck that is the race for presidency this year, just shaking my head. I hope the smoke clears soon.

The biggest lie is that your vote counts for anything.

The biggest lie is that your vote doesn't count for anything.

When too few people turn up at the polls, democracy will be over.

Yeah, it really mattered when Al Gore got the popular vote over G.W. Bush.

Yeah, it really mattered when Al Gore got the popular vote over G.W. Bush.

That wasn't the first time that happened. It is built into the structure and will happen again.

Besides, the difference was trivial, a statistical tie, 50,456,002 vs. 50,999,897 or 0.5% and neither had a majority.

In 1992, Clinton won with only 43% of the popular vote.

RE: Underailable Thread
First of all, it is really not up to us on who the GOP or the DNC chooses to be their presenditial canidate. They simply use polling numbers to determine who is most likely to defeat the other opponent. It has nothing to do with candidate popularity or which candidate will actually be the best choice.

Also, when we do vote for a president, we are not actually voting for that president. We are voting for the representative in the electoral college to vote on our behalf. There is nothing that forces that representative to vote for the candidate that he was elected to vote for. Hence the reason why Al Gore lost to GW even though Al had the popular vote.

In conclusion, we do not vote for the presidential candidate, the GOP or the DNC will inevitably choose who they want despite popular opinion and the electoral collage will inevitably vote for who the candidate they want despite popular opinion. So your vote really doesn't count...done venting. Just get out there and vote.
