Man I wish people would stop using the word "Chance." Chance is what you have at the Blackjack table in a Casino.

I believe the correct word would be "Choice."

Is there chance involved in the falling of a pen when I lift it above my head and let go of it?

RE: Universe and everything in it is the result of a purposeful chance??!
The "purpose" behind it presumes an intellect had an intention.
This is very close to the Kalam Cosmological argument.

It basically means that if the universe exists it had a cause. So far I agree action-reaction.
Then they say that cause is god and not any god but the god of the bible. Here they loose me.

First of all , our understanding of the Big Bang is that everything in the universe existed in a dense state before a rapid expansion (the Big Bang itself).
Our knowledge in this regard isn't 100% complete but I'm comfortable with that. We may never know everything but that doesn't give us the right to fill in the gaps with superstition and lore. It's better to not know and search rather than to use faulty/made-up facts.

So far we don't know about what was before the Big Bang but we do understand how various cosmic bodies took shape after and how the very heavy elements in our bodies were created in the collapse of starts.

I recommend the lecture : "A universe from nothing" by Lawrence Krauss
Also look up the Atheist Experience episode where Matt debunks the Kalam Cosmological argument. (I think it's up on YT)

Atheism is a religion like OFF is a TV channel !!!
