Welcome. Does hubby want to join? We offer family rates. Big Grin

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
Science is not a subject, but a method.

Welcome to the forum.

Yay! I'm glad for y'all too, it definitely helps. As I recall, his phrasing was "thank holy hell" that we've reached the same conclusion.

Lol. Nice. Smile He's actually semi-active-ish on a skeptics forum, has been for a little bit. That combined with several other small clues here and there were what gave me the courage to "come out" to him. It was still really hard though, and he has admitted that he's glad I did, because he's not sure he could have.

Thanks to all others not quoted for the warm welcome! I really appreciate it. Warm fuzzies and unicorns abound, as promised. Big Grin

Ex-Southern Baptist here, too.

I was born in Texas, but raised mostly in Georgia and Louisiana (the latter is where my mom's extensive Catholic Cajun family live, but she converted when she married my dad).

Glad you decided to step out of the lurker closet. Smile

Welcome.

The first revolt is against the supreme tyranny of theology, of the phantom of God. As long as we have a master in heaven, we will be slaves on earth.
