I adore so much based on a love for jrpgs and there's plenty outside that scope.

But one soundtrack I would praise as one of the best in an era of vocalized music is, Katamari Damacy

I'm not big on game music.
I often just end up muting the music (keep the effect sounds) and firing up some wubwub in media player in the background.
