I was also under the impression the topic had come up before. Meh.

Anyway, I'm really happy for you, and I'm'a let you finish, but Grim Fandango had the best video game soundtrack of all time.

Of all time.

...
But also the Void.

Though, damned if those aren't opposite ends of the musical spectrum.

I'm also currently enjoying listening to Galaxy News Radio out in the Capital Wasteland... The use of late 40s and early 50s bubblegum pop injects some real dark humour into Fallout 3.

I find myself singing along to the music in Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas. It really does add something to the game!Thumbsup

Yeah, but there's like 8 songs unless you mod more in. It gets repetitive...

Anyway, here's Glen Miller listing off his contemporaries and making fun of the Ink Spots:

Anything by Nobuo Uematsu, almost feels to much of a copout to say.

Also Yasunori Mitsudas stuff is great.

But my favorite games music comes from Katamari Damacy, it's fantastic quirky stuff

It would be, except the music for Chrono Trigger was brilliant, and is my favorite soundtrack from the 16-bit era.
