Yeah, I'll get a huge schadenfreude smile if that happens.

Leave it to the Germans to coin a word for taking pleasure in other's misfortune... Tongue

just type schadenfreude definition into Google, and it pops right up. Then click on the little speaker icon next to the word, and you'll hear the pronunciation.

"Hey, we need a quicker way of saying 'that feeling you get when misfortune befalls your enemies'"

I love words like that.

Excuse me, I'm making perfect sense. You're just not keeping up.

I love words like that.

I get the distinct feeling that making up such compound words is a German national pastime.

Donaudampfschiffahrtsgesellschaftskapitän - Which in English translates to "Danube steamship company captain."

Rechtsschutzversicherungsgesellschaften - "legal protection insurance companies"

Rindfleischetikettierungsüberwachungsaufgabenübertragungsgesetz - "beef labeling regulation & delegation of supervision law"

It must be a national past time. Are those compound words any shorter than the original phrase?

Excuse me, I'm making perfect sense. You're just not keeping up.

Hey ! quit makin fun of the Germans..... we have no sense of humor Angry

Tho, I must agree that the words have gotten longer in terms. When I was living there and younger, I dont remember such ridiculous long words/phrases, and I come from North Germany. Confused

If bullshit were music some people would be a brass band.
