Desire to feel/be special. Or a member of an exclusive special group.

I prefer fantasy, but I have to live in reality.

If you don't just link everything to religion then you might actually have to think and who knows where that could lead.

Wait, is she trying to imply Earth having a day is somehow worship of it?

Cause, I'm pretty sure god has his own day, too. Several, in fact. And they get way more attention than Earth Day.

And besides, we all know the real day of worship is National Pancake Day.

Popcorn I put more thought into fiction than theists put into reality.

Well, the earth does have one advantage over the christian god; there actually is evidence that it exists.

I think a lot of people post crap like that on social media to 'prove' they are devout.

Either that or if they say the same thing over and over again they may believe it themselves.

I take most of that kind of stuff just like 'God Bless You' - automatic (and often expected) response.

And I think they get prizes if they post the first gawd response...kinda like a drinking game.

Because religions are pretty much all but designed to make everything reroute to itself to keep it always in the fore-thought.

The people closely associated with the namesake of female canines are suffering from a nondescript form of lunacy.

RE: WHY does everything have to circle back to religion
I used to hear this type of thing from Christian pastors all the time, this idea that merely showing your appreciation for something is a form of idolatry. If you're doing any kind of secular activity, then you're "worshiping" said secular activity. If you value an inanimate object, then you're "worshiping" that inanimate object.

It seems to me like this line of thinking is sort of a throwback to the anti-pagan roots of early Judaism, at a time when the worship of tangible objects was something that a lot of people actually did.

If we came from dust, then why is there still dust?
