Xmas stuff before Labor Day should be a capital offense. Angry

... before Halloween, 25 years at hard labor.

... before Thanksgiving, a $25,000 fine. Per item.

And if you start with the Xmas music before Thanksgiving, it's the guillotine. Yes

Other than classical stuff (like Bach's Christmas cantatas, etc.), I would be OK with limiting Christmas music to one day per year -- Christmas day. The day after Thanksgiving is much too soon.

Last year in Aus, hot cross buns hit the supermarkets on 28th Dec '15 for Easter 27th March '16. I kid you not LOL.

Xmas songs and ads (mostly ads) is why I have an ipod connection in my car. Ipod keeps me sane with tunes I like.

We literally just started putting out our Xmas stuff yesterday/last night.

What you gotta understand is that Xmas is when we do half our business so of course they're gonna wanna remind people that Xmas is coming up and to buy now to be prepared.
And people do, A LOT of people do Xmas shopping now so they don't have to in December. It is hugely noticeable how much our business has started picking up.

We haven't started playing Xmas songs though thank god. That shit will test my sanity that's for damn sure when we start playing those.

If I walk into a retail store for 15 minutes during Christmas season, I'm ready to punch someone by the time I leave -- and this is primarily because of the music. I honestly don't know how anyone can stand to work an entire shift (8 hours or whatever) with that music playing the whole time. I couldn't do it.

I'm lucky because I either work nightfill which means I only work 3 hours while the store is open and the music turns off once we close and we chuck our own music onto one of the stereo system display models. Or I'm working security and Im downstairs and I can't hear the music anyway.

Christmas music is the fucking worst.

They can play it xmas eve as well.... (I avoid stores both days anyway)

"Remind" people that Christmas is "coming up"? Seriously. Who forgets it? If retailers think they can start flogging me Christmas shit three months in advance, then they can get fucked, and won't get any business from me until January 2017.

I refuse to be bombarded with over-commercialised corporate marketing crapola that apparently plays to the lowest common denominator shopper, or the intellectually challenged. Angry

Dude I saw Walmart last weekend had the Christmas decorations out before the Halloween stuff came out.

No bones with me; I love Christmas.

But I do recommend that if you encounter a person complaining about a war on Christmas, punch em in the mouth and call them a whiny little bitch.
