I am far from the expert, but from my understanding you gain rep from people who click on your name and select up or down rep based on their opinion of say a particular post or thread you generate. I don't get too concerned with it, popularity contest this is not.

Warning level 0% on the other hand is what I prefer to keep, this is upped by moderators based on your receiving of warnings based on conduct within the forums, or so I understand anyway. I could be wrong. I don't know what the magical number is to get perm kicked and would rather not find out. Hope that helps until someone with a clue answers you Drooling

Warning level is a MyBBCode thing we don't use it.

RE: Warning Level
You can click on your rep number to see who has repped you and what was said.

Likewise you can rep others...I think you can rep up to three people per day.

You will also see that some of us can give or take more than one point at a time...the admins, mods, and veterans are allowed a little more.

RE: Warning Level
The two most frequent rule breakings that I have noticed are

- no sock puppets. You can't have more than one account. Will get you banned.

- no being a meanie in the personal issues forum, its a special area with sensitive issues. You usually get a couple warnings.

Oh, and no porn.

RE: Warning Level
If you click on your rep number it'll show who's given you a plus or minus, and usually a comment...

I suppose you can kind of use it to see what you're doing right and wrong, where to improve and when to keep it up.

Also it helps to get an idea of who's a troll and who's sound.

Just be friendly and open minded... Share your thoughts and musings, and discuss them.

No fuckin' swearing though... Or you can piss the fuck off. Big Grin

While we're on the subject...

How do you give someone a plus 2?

Veterans are allowed to give plus or minus 2.
