Was Zager and Evans correct?
How close are we to what these two artists wrote and sung about in the song "The Year 2525 (Exordium & Terminus)"
Quote:
In the year 5555
Your arms hangin' limp at your sides
Your legs got nothin' to do
Some machine's doin' that for you

In the year 6565
You won't need no husband, won't need no wife
You'll pick your son, pick your daughter too
From the bottom of a long glass tube

Are you sure? Don't we have test tube babies? Aren't machines doing more nd more of the things we use to do?

I'm positive. My arms and legs have plenty to do. I'm also willing to bet the farm that god ain't gonna be shaking his mighty head any time soon. Or ever.

Neo-Luddism stopped being cool a long time ago.

Awww geez...I had that song...on a 45...back in the day.

I'm not anti-social. I'm pro-solitude.

People once looked at Brave New World, And 1984 as being science fiction, but look at us now. Also You do have test tube babies and remote controls to turn on many things we use to have to get up and do.
