Strictly speaking, a dream is a vivid hallucination.

Which just happens to come about when you are comatose (asleep).

A single action is worth more than the words it takes to describe it.

Well, that's perfectly normal, I guess Consider

RE: We suck as atheists
Maybe you just saw some colors someplace that were too bright and that caused the dream. You may not have consciously experienced these colors as impressive.
Or - maybe you are glare sensitive. Many people have eyes that are overly sensitive to glare. The fact that the bright colors were unpleasant may be because you had glare in your eyes the day before.
I think dreams are where your non-conscious mind digests things that were not properly dealt with during waking hours. Kind of mopping up stray experiences. Trying to connect them someplace in your brain.

Then what drug makes you see that shit? I had a weird dream which looked that way and I wonder why my perception during that dream was so psychedelic and if there was some kind of weird chemical in my brain that affected my senses.

The dream was this way: I was in a town made of colors which were interconnected and were flowing in waves and the motion of colors gave the feeling of time flowing. This dream has repeated 3 times and I've always wondered what it meant.

Please don't think I'm searching for mystic explanations.

Look at the center of this for 30 seconds and then look around at everything else. That's how it seemed to me. 'Course when you're exposed to that shit for 10-12 hours straight you're thinking starts shifting a bit. Big Grin

Unlike Hofmann's sacrament, psilocybin has a similar effect but with a much shorter period of action (like 4 hours or so) and you can actually go to sleep on them. That's where I met my spirit guide Ursa my motherfucking bear. (It was during my Castaneda phase when I was like 15 yo, so give me a fucking break.) Never tried peyote/mescaline 'cause all reports indicate associated nausea. Ain't gonna be puking my guts out just for a trip, just ain't worth it. There's this other one which we called MDMA back in the day but think the kid's today call it Ecstasy. Think that shit could prove to be of some seriously psychiatric therapeutic value. We called it the "Love Drug" back then but i see it as the "Empathy Drug". If you've never experienced empathy, you will. Pretty sure it's seriously fucks with my oxytocin in a good way.

Breathing - it's more art than science.

Spirit guide Ursa? Cool Hobo I also saw a huge grizzly bear in my room when my mom gave me a very strong sleeping pill. Big Grin

All right here, in this forum, under our noses Sad
What happened with Vera? Where, when? I didn't send any positive vibes in her way specifically, I swear. I don't support belief just for belief, I prefer daily experience.

As for the topic of Vera's discovery of God, I can't find it. I want to compare our gods!

I am sorry (but also happy and grateful) to say that Vera is no longer here. She has decided to become Christ's bride and dedicate her life to God, hoping to beg His forgiveness for her previous life of sin. Currently, she can be found in this little monastery. She also asked me to ask all of you to pray for the salvation of her immortal soul, just as she is praying for that of yours.
Thank you and may the Lord of peace give you His peace at all times and in every way. [Image: JC_nun.gif]
