You people need to define the word "truth" before any of this conversation means anything.

The view that it's objectively immoral to torture babies just for fun, doesn't transform into a subjective view, if objective morality doesn't exist. It would just mean that claim is false.

Wrong. It's a false dichotomy, AS HAS BEEN POINTED out here.
ALL morality is subjective all the time :
a. you learned it under specific circumstances
b. EVERY situation requires interpretation of the circumstances by human brains

You point is irrelevant and meaningless, unless you can propose a non-subjective mechanism/process.

Quote:Moral realist don't become moral subjectivist, if moral realism is false.

Care to translate that into the English language ?

Translation: it doesn't matter that morality is subjective to a moral realist because the moral realist will refuse to acknowledge reality.

Which is exactly the same thing as the religious denying all sorts of other things Thumbsup what's one more thing?

Logic and reason has led atheists like TbD, Dom, Bucky to affirm that truth is subjective. If you believe otherwise then you're not doing logic right

I'm not sure you are accurately portraying their positions, but majorities do not determine truth. Facts do.

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.

Wrong, you're appealing to a false dichotomy, as been pointed out to you.

A point evident when recognizing that the answer to whether objective morality exist, is not subjective, but either true or false.

Quote:ALL morality is subjective all the time :

a. you learned it under specific circumstances
b. EVERY situation requires interpretation of the circumstances by human brains

Yet, you claim truth is not subjective, though both A and B apply

Quote:
Quote:Moral realist don't become moral subjectivist, if moral realism is false.

Yes. Those who subscribe to moral realism (objective morality), don't become moral subjectivist, if moral realism is false.

"Tell me, muse, of the storyteller who has been thrust to the edge of the world, both an infant and an ancient, and through him reveal everyman." ---Homer the aged poet.

"In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it."

Minds determine truth. This dependency according to some means that truth is subjective.

No, reality determines truth. Minds understand it or not.

Reality is not a being, it determines nothing. Determining requires an intentional agent.
