So we only have our cheese from a can as our real chesse?

I'm almost as confused as I was when the OP was chiming in.Drinking Beverage

I was always taught that "American" Cheese was mild Cheddar.

The Cheddar is a lie. Drinking Beverage

Wow! How annoying was she?

E! Dam, she made my stomach churn. A whey more curdling experience than watching a Dreher vs. absols debate.

RE: Welcome Mark Dreher
Many moons ago I used to put velveeta on veggies. I have long come to hate the texture of processed cheese, and the lack of flavor, any processed cheese. And those sliced, individually wrapped processed cheeses - yuck!!!

Gimme real cheese, nothing added, no chemicals, just real aged or fresh cheese, and I love it every time.
